Biografie

Ik ben geboren te Wilrijk op 27/04/1976. In het secundair onderwijs heb ik wetenschappen-wiskunde gevolgd in het Lyceum te Antwerpen. Het hoger onderwijs heb ik voltooid op de Universiteit Antwerpen als geneesheer in 2001. Nadien heb ik een specialisatie opleiding neus-, keel- en oorziekten en gelaat- en halschirurgie gevolgd die ik afgerond heb in 2006.

De opleiding heb ik gevolgd bij Prof. Paul Dr. Van de Heyning (UZA) en Prof. Dr. Erwin Offeciers (Sint-Augustinus). Na het voltooien van de opleiding neus-, keel- en oorziekten heb ik een fellowship gevolgd oto-neurotologie in European Institute For ORL (Antwerpen). 

Tot nu ben ik nog steeds wetenschappelijk consulent op deze dienst.

Sedert 2008 ben ik gevestigd in het AZ Mol en de privé praktijk, samen collega Dr. Kris Delport. Tevens ben ik ook werkzaam in het diagnosecentrum lommel.

Als wetenschappelijk navorser vervolledig ik heden mijn PhD thesis (doctoraat) aan de Radboud Universiteit van Nijmegen met als titel: Contribution of diffusion weighted MR imaging and of the bony obliteration tympanoplasty technique to safety and success in clinical cholesteatoma management.

Specifieke interessegebieden: Oto- en neurotologie, evenwichtsklachten, oorsuizingen, neus-en sinuspathologie, Algemene NKO en pediatrische otorhinolaryngologie.
